“ Excellent spot with interesting and tasty food with standard pricing. Certainly worth a visit! It can be unclear that you must order from the counter. Table service would be an improvement. Friendly staff all-round. ”
“ Lovely Middle Eastern inspired menu and lovely home bakes. Friendly staff in a nice setting. ”
“ Quickly becoming a favourite and frequent place to visit. The customer service and food is outstanding. One of the best coffees I’ve ever had too. My dodgy photo skills don’t do it justice. Would highly recommend the banoffee waffle and their cakes . ”
“ What a gem! Polly Kettle is a 'must add' to your list of places to take a break whilst on The Orkneys! It's a real haven, especially if the weather's not so good and you need a treat. They offer delicious food, (the waffles are to die for!), they also offer a great range of hot and cold drinks too. The staff are friendly, the service is great, and the atmosphere is one of quality and comfort. Do visit and pass on the word! ”
“ Had a gorgeous Turkish coffee and shared an amazing banoffee waffle this afternoon. What a beautiful, chilled cafe. Highly recommended ”
“ Very nice find! Greeted with a smile as we came in. Bright, contemporary and chilled atmosphere. We had a toasted sandwich the accompanying salad was very fresh and the Egyptian pudding was to die for it was all very nourishing and made with love. ”
“ What an absolute treasure find in the Orkneys! Soul-filled food that was not only nourishing, but heart-warming. The moment I walked in the door yesterday at Polly Kettle, I felt comforted that the food would be great. I said straight away to my husband "this place is fabulous, and I can see everything is made from scratch." The ambience is wonderful with large windows that bring in the light and a beautiful view to the coastline and water. The staff were on the ball, friendly, efficient, welcoming and really lovely. The food is just delicious; interesting and made from the heart. Everythign we chose was delicious. The owner who has Egyptian heritage, has infused his life experience to create wonderful food from fresh Orkney ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here, and have returned again today, and will do so again tomorrow on our last day here on the Orkneys. I also purchased a couple of pottery pieces which I just adore. With much gratitude. ”
“ Great lunch time spot or coffee and cake stop off! Great food and really amazing cakes. Carrot cake recommended if you aren't vegan. Only downside was that our dogs had to stay in our car, but, food is worth it! ”
